Leh Ladakh, often called the Land of High Passes, is a region of breathtaking beauty where rugged mountains meet endless skies. Its dramatic landscapes stretch across vast valleys, towering peaks, and crystal-clear blue lakes that reflect the changing colors of the heavens. The stark, desert-like terrain is beautifully contrasted by ancient monasteries perched on rocky cliffs, with fluttering prayer flags adding life to the scenery. In this high-altitude wilderness, silence and serenity prevail, broken only by the whisper of the wind and distant monk chants. Leh Ladakh’s raw charm offers not just scenic wonder, but a soulful journey through nature’s grandeur, resilience, and peace.

Distance/Time: 5–6 km | Approx. 30 minutes drive
Arrive in Leh by flight and complete the registration formalities at the tourism counter inside the airport. Meet our representative at the parking area and transfer to your hotel, where you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink. The rest of the day is reserved for complete relaxation to help you acclimatize to the high-altitude environment.

After breakfast, begin a full-day sightseeing tour covering Thiksey Monastery, Hemis Monastery, Shey Palace, Shanti Stupa, and Leh Palace.
Start early with a visit to Thiksey Monastery to witness the peaceful morning prayer ceremony, a memorable spiritual experience. Thiksey is one of Ladakh’s largest gompas, known for its stunning architecture and giant Buddha statue. Continue to Hemis Monastery, dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava, famous for its vibrant traditions and rich heritage. Visit Shey, the former capital of Ladakh, known for its palace ruins and sacred stupas.
Later, enjoy panoramic views at Shanti Stupa and explore Leh Palace, offering insight into Ladakh’s royal past. End the day with a visit to Leh Temple and time at Leh Bazaar.

Night Stay: Nubra Valley – Hotel/Camp
Distance/Time: 160 km | Approx. 5 hours drive
After breakfast, drive to the beautiful Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass, one of the world’s highest motorable roads at 5,602 meters (18,390 ft). From the pass, enjoy breathtaking views of the Indus Valley to the south and the towering peaks of the Zanskar and Saser ranges to the north.
Nubra Valley, also known as the “Valley of Flowers,” lies between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges and sits at an average altitude of 10,000 ft. The valley is nourished by the Shayok and Siachen rivers and is known for its green farmlands, sand dunes, and picturesque villages lined with willow and poplar trees. Once an important stop on the ancient Silk Route, Nubra holds rich historical significance.

After breakfast, visit the White Sand Dunes at Hunder, where you may enjoy a camel ride on the famous double-humped Bactrian camels (optional). Continue to explore Diskit Village and Diskit Monastery, perched on a hilltop and offering spectacular views of the Nubra Valley. Diskit is the main town of the region, featuring a small local market and a historic monastery dating back to the 15th century.
Later, visit the scenic village of Hunder, known for its greenery, small monastery, and ruins of an old fort. You may enjoy a short walk or camel safari through the sand dunes between Hunder and Diskit (at own cost).
Optional excursion to Panamik Hot Springs, famous for their natural sulphur-rich waters believed to have healing properties, followed by a visit to the serene Ensa Gompa nestled among willow trees. You may also visit Samstanling Monastery, a peaceful 132-year-old gompa known for its disciplined monastic life.

Night Stay: Pangong Lake – Cottage/Camp
Distance/Time: 140 km | Approx. 5 hours drive
After breakfast, drive from Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via the scenic Agham–Shyok route, passing Khalsar village and enjoying breathtaking mountain landscapes along the way.
Pangong Tso, meaning “long, narrow enchanted lake” in Tibetan, is a stunning high-altitude lake famous for its crystal-clear waters that change colors throughout the day. A narrow strip of land extending into the lake offers perfect photo opportunities. Though the salty waters support little aquatic life, the area is home to migratory birds such as ducks and gulls, along with unique alpine vegetation around its shores.

Night Stay: Leh – Hotel
Distance/Time: 160 km | Approx. 5 hours drive
After breakfast, enjoy a peaceful walk along the shores of Pangong Lake, one of the world’s highest saltwater lakes, shared between India and China. Take in the stunning scenery and admire the lake’s magical color changes throughout the day. Later, drive back to Leh via the scenic Chang La Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in the region.

After breakfast, set out for Sham Valley sightseeing. Begin at Sangam near Nimu, where the Zanskar River meets the Indus River — a beautiful natural confluence and a popular spot for river rafting.
Continue to Basgo Monastery, perched atop a hill overlooking the ruins of the ancient Basgo town. Dating back to the 17th century, the monastery is famous for its impressive Buddha statues, ancient murals, and historic temples dedicated to Maitreya Buddha.
Next, visit Alchi Gompa, located on the banks of the Indus River. Over a thousand years old, it is one of Ladakh’s most important monasteries, known for its remarkable wall paintings and unique flatland location.
Later, explore the scenic Lamayuru Monastery, one of Ladakh’s oldest and most picturesque gompas, dramatically built on rocky cliffs and surrounded by moon-like landscapes.
Return to Leh in the evening for an overnight stay at the hotel.
